Lil Jon is an Atlanta-based DJ, record producer, and rapper known for being the leader of the Hip Hop group, Lil Jon & The Eastside Boyz. His real name is Jonathan Smith. Lil Jon is famous for producing hit songs like Yeah for Usher, Culo for Pitbull, Goodies for Ciara and much more for renowned Hip Hop acts like E-40, Lil Scrappy, Janet Jackson, Fat Joe, David Banner, Da Brat, Baby Bash etc.

Lil Jon has done something beyond Hip Hop

Lil Jon secretly partnered with Pencils Of Promise, a charity organization to build and secretly commission a school in Ghana. According to his Instagram page;

YESTERDAY WAS A SPECIAL DAY FOR ME AND MY FAMILY. WE HAD THE RIBBON CUTTING CEREMONY AND DEDICATION OF A BRAND NEW PRIMARY SCHOOL IN GHANA 🇬🇭 I FUNDED ALONG WITH @pencilsofpromise I DEDICATED IT TO THE ABOMAYAW COMMUNITY AND TO MY MOTHER. GOD IS GOOD 🙏🏽

 

The school is located in Abomayaw, a rural community in Asuogyaman district of the Eastern region of Ghana.

 

Lil Jon was not alone

He was accompanied by his son, Nathan Smith and wife Nicole Smith

Lil Jon’s reason for choosing Ghana is simple

Because they are African Americans and felt to giving back hence Ghana.
