NDC, NPP hooligans clash at Aboabo in Kumasi 8 people sustain severe Machete Injuries. (Caution: Graphic Images)

Hooligans of the 2 major political parties NDC and NPP clashed at the Aboabo Lorry Station in Kumasi over who should be collecting tolls this morning resulting in 8 individuals from the 2 groups sustaining machete wounds.

The injured some of them in critical condition have been lodged at the Manhyia Government Hospital.

The clashes arose as a result of reprisal attacks by the operatives of the former NDC government who were ejected from the lorry station by their NPP counterparts after the NPP government was sworn into office.

The most disturbing aspect of these clashes is that the police had prior information of the attacks but appear powerless when the 2 groups went at each other at the lorry station this morning.

The leaders of the 2 groups have been invited by the police for questioning.
