The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo is promising Ghanaians transformational leadership if elected in the December 7, elections.
Ghana, he says, is in a state of mess because President John Mahama is not providing the right leadership that will create the enabling environment for Ghanaians to experience decent standard of living .
According to him, majority of Ghanaians are unable to afford basic things like electricity, urging the electorate to replace the NDC government in the polls.
Addressing a rally at Akoti in the Gomoa East constituency of the central region as part of his three-day tour of the region, Akufo-Addo pledged to roll out positive policies that will relieve Ghanaians from the shackles of poverty.
Some of the policies , he explained, include revamping the National Health Insurance Scheme to meet the increasing health needs of Ghanaians, the free education policy to improve the human resource base of the country as well as improving job creation opportunities so that the citizenry could earn decent income to improve their living standards.
Other social intervention packages initiated by the erstwhile Kufuor administration such as the school feeding programme , capitation, free maternal care as well as the teachers and nurses training allowances will also be brought back to ease the pressure on Ghanaians, he said.
The government under his watch , he emphasized, will not fail in delivering on its electioneering promises to Ghanaians
The NDC government, Nana Addo explained, has mismanaged not only the economy but every social intervention programme initiated by the NPP government and should therefore be voted out.
