TV personality and news anchor at GHone TV Nana Aba Anamoah has blasted sports journalists for spreading fake news about Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey being sacked by Black Stars coach CK Akunor from camp days before Ghana’s scheduled friendly match with Ivory Coast.
The on-air personality was having non of the news stories circulating about Partey being sacked and responded to it as fake news.
Nana Aba Anamoah tweeted;”I just spoke to Thomas Partey.
He says he wasn’t sacked by C.K Akunor from the BlackStars camp as is being speculated by some Sports Journalists.
He sought permission to be excused and that was granted.”
Sports journalist Saddick Adams tweeted; “Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has been sacked from Ghana camp in Cape Coast for arriving late.
The midfielder arrived two days late without permission. The 27-year-old is likely to miss the Ghana vs Morocco and Ivory Voast friendlies”.
Nana Aba Anamoah responded to Saddick Adams tweet; “How was he sacked when he (Partey) trained with the team when he went seeking permission to be excused.
2 technical team members categorically told some of you sports journalists that it wasn’t true that Partey was sacked.
Yet you lot are still spreading this false story.”
