The Ghana Ambulance Service has issued a statement on their van which was seen in a viral video on social media being used to carry several bags of Cement.
According to the press statement the van had been sent to the suppliers of the fleet of ambulances; Service Ghana Autogroup which imported these vehicles into the country and given to the Ambulance Service by the government.
The statement also stated that the van had been sent to the supplier to fix a manufacturers defect in the gear box and upon completion of the servicing the mechanic who went on a test drive with the van decided to use the van to carry bags of Cement.
The statement further said that the video was recorded in March.
