Calamity has befallen Kumasi Asante Kotoko and the entire football fraternity in Ghana after the team bus of the Porcupine Warriors had an accident in Nkawkaw en route to Kumasi.
The team bus is said to have run into a stationary truck loaded with cement which had no reflectors to indicate it’s position on the road.
The Porcupine Warriors had been dealt a huge blow after suffering a 1-0 defeat to Inter Allies in the league and it turned worse after the bus heading to Kumasi from Accra encountered the unfortunate incident.
Initial reports suggest there are casualties with players and backroom staff all affected.

The team equipment manager Mr George Asare is said to be the first official casualty of the unfortunate accident.
Several of the players are said to have suffered severe injuries with some in critical condition including team coaches Steve Pollack & assistant coach Gordon Ablodey.
The injured are being treated at Holy Family Hospital in Nkawkaw with some being transported to Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi for treatment.
